Growing up in Seattle in the 90s has always been a major influence and motivation for all my hair and fashion inspirations. When Kurt Cobain’s tragic death ended the grunge era in Seattle, the sense of loss gave rise to a vital creative movement.  I found a connection and artistic synergy  with the misfits immersed in the post grunge, neo-glam, urban street aesthetic.

I was fortunate enough to be able to learn my craft and develop my skills in a fabulous world of drag queens, musicians, artists and fashion forward youth.

After spending a year studying cosmetology at the Gary Manuel Aveda Institute, I packed up my bags and moved to Los Angeles, California where I worked along  side some of  the industry's top hair and make up artists. Soon thereafter I discovered my passion for Men's grooming which led me to American Barber college, in South Central LA. I spent the next year and a half studying with traditionally trained, old school barbers and fell in love with the romance and nostalgia of “barbershop culture”.

After school I spent time working in authentic Barbershops sharpening my skills and getting my chops up. I have been fortunate to be able to take all of these experiences and education and put them into my own shop.

I opened Barbarelas and I now have the honor of working with the most reputable agency, Wall Group as a men's groomer,  where I have the opportunity to work with celebrities and top photographers on many high fashion editorial projects, music videos and commercial shoots. While giving my clients my best, in an authentic, albeit “unique” foxy barbershop experience.

I feel blessed to do the work I love , with the people I love.

Thank you for checking out my site.
